Research Opportunities for Students (Undergraduates)
Research is one of the hallmarks of a Johns Hopkins education. Taking part in research as an undergraduate allows you to gain academic credit while exploring career options, learning in-depth about a specific industry, and gaining valuable skills and hands-on experience.
If you are looking for research opportunities, follow these steps and you're on your way!
How to find research opportunities
How to register for research
- Meet with your faculty sponsor to determine what your research will entail.
- Complete a Supplemental Registration Form and have it signed by your faculty sponsor. (This person must be a full-time Homewood faculty member so he or she can submit your grade.)
- Get a Registration or Add Form signed by your faculty adviser.
- Take both of these forms to the WSE’s Office of Academic Affairs to get an approval signature.
- Please note: You can earn up to 6 credits for research per year, beginning in the summer term, and you are limited to 3 credits per semester.
