Policies and Regulations: Master’s

• Concurrent Student Status Policy: Applies to WSE students who puruse the bachelor's and master's degre at the same time.
• Graduate Student Course Retake Policy: applies to all Homewood graduate students electing to retake a course.
• Guidelines for Preparation of Master's Essay: Please review if you will be writing a master's essay, prepared by the Graduate Board.
• Homewood Schools Graduate Student Academic Review Policy: Applies to all full-time WSE doctoral students and master’s students conducting thesis research.
• Homewood Graduate Student Grade Change Policy: Applies to all grades earned by Homewood graduate students since the Spring 2005 semester.
• Homewood Graduate Thesis (master's/doctoral) Advising Privileges: Indicates who can serve as a master's or doctoral thesis advisor.  Please see column D.
• Homewood Grievance Procedure for Faculty, Postdoctoral Fellows and Students: May be used by all WSE graduate students.
• Homewood Schools Policy for Graduate Student Probation, Funding Withdrawal, and Dismissal: Applies to all WSE master’s and doctoral students.
• Homewood Schools Graduate Student Assistant Leave Guidelines: Applies to all WSE research and teaching assistants.
• Leave of Absence Policy: Applies to those students who need to interrupt their enrollment for at least one semester.
• Master’s Degree Completion Schedule with Grace Periods: This tells you when the WSE graduate program must forward master’s degree certification forms to the Office of Academic Affairs.
• Master's Degree Requirements: Applies to all WSE master's students, regardless of graduate program.
• Master's Student Transfer Course Policy: Applies to WSE students wishing to transfer in courses from a different school to help satisfy WSE master's degree requirements.
• Nonresident Status Policy: Applies to those students who have completed all coursework and have only the master's essay or the doctoral thesis remaining.
• Office of the Registrar: This website provides information for all JHU students on general topics such as the academic calendar, registration procedures, and how to add or drop a course.
• Policy on Double-Counting Courses: Applies to students seeking to double-count courses in the bachelor's and master's degrees as well as across two master's degrees.
• Procedures for Handling Allegations of Research Misconduct: Applies to all Whiting School graduate students, both full-time and part-time.
• WSE Policy on the Responsible Conduct of Research Training for Students and Postdoctoral Fellows: This policy covers the research training that is required of certain WSE master’s students and all WSE doctoral students.
• WSE Graduate Study Abroad Policy:  This policy covers the graduate study abroad status.
• Academic Misconduct: Provides procedures for handling allegations of misconduct by full-time and part-time graduate students.
