FULL-TIME LECTURER
The Johns Hopkins University seeks highly qualified candidates for a full-time teaching position in the Center for Leadership Education (CLE). The CLE offers renewable, one-year contracts that, with appropriate review, become eligible for longer-term contracts and promotion to senior lecturer. All positions in the Center are non-tenured, but Johns Hopkins has recently instituted a new teaching professorship career path for which all full-time lecturers in the CLE become eligible.
CLE seeks candidates qualified to teach in the following areas:
Responsibilities include teaching 6 courses per academic year, advising undergraduate and graduate students and participating actively and collegially in program management, curriculum development, and evaluations.
Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching, an advanced degree, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Teaching experience—preferably full-time at the undergraduate level or through extensive corporate training—as well as professional experience in a business, consulting or entrepreneurial environment are required. A CPA, CFA or CMA is required, along with an ability to teach courses in the areas of accounting and finance.

FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Civil Engineering in the Whiting School of Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor who will strengthen existing departmental efforts in Structures and/or Mechanics of Materials and complement efforts in Systems.
The Department of Civil Engineering provides a dynamic and richly collaborative environment for novel research originating in the field of civil engineering. Particular emphasis will be placed on candidates that (a) have significant depth in engineering mechanics, (b) interest in stochastic methods, and (c) take a modern view of how to apply that technical depth in advanced experimentation and/or multi-scale, multi-physics models to solve problems such as increasing the take-up of new materials in civil engineering; creating next-generation structures for energy production; improving the sustainability of buildings and other infrastructure components; creating resilient structures for extreme environments or under multi-hazards; or rehabilitating ageing civil materials and infrastructure. The Department is flexible with respect to the candidate’s chosen sub-discipline(s) - this flexibility represents a fundamental aspect of the academic culture at Johns Hopkins.
The successful candidate will be a catalyst for collaborations both within, and outside of, the Department. The candidate is expected to provide dynamic leadership in his/her field and interact with the professional community, as well as excel in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses and develop/sustain a world-class externally funded research program. An earned doctoral degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is required; professional registration is desirable.

Institute for Computational Medicine
TENURE-TRACK POSITION, INSTITUTE FOR COMPUTATIONAL MEDICINE
The mission of the Institute for Computational Medicine is to develop quantitative approaches for understanding the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of human disease through application of mathematics and computational science. The Institute builds on internationally recognized research programs based in both the School of Medicine (www.hopkinsmedicine.org) and the Whiting School of Engineering (www.wse.jhu.edu). There are three core research areas: a) modeling of disease; b) learning molecular signatures of disease; and c) analyses of anatomic structure and its variations in health and disease. Special emphasis is placed on applications to individualized medicine.
The Institute invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applications from more senior investigators will also be considered. Faculty will be appointed in an appropriate department of the Whiting School of Engineering, and will be located within the Institute on the University’s Homewood campus.
