Johns Hopkins University Center for Bioengineering and Innovation Design

For Industry

Financial Support

The Department of Biomedical Engineering has a history of creating innovators. Our students have risen to become world-class researchers and business leaders. The student design project has been central to the development of the skills that have made our alumni so successful.

To build upon this long-standing tradition, CBID promises to expand and enhance the student design experience. The financial support of alumni and friends of CBID is crucial to reaching our goals for the program.

Student Fellowships

  • Contribute to tuition and living expenses for MSE students.

Support a Student Team

  • Help student teams with cost of materials, machining, electronics design, student travel etc.

Support the Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF)

  • Started with a $250,000 COSAT award from Johnson and Johnson, teams apply for project funding from the TAF for prototype development. Top ranked teams can apply for small business start-up funds.

Design Day Sponsor

  • Provides prize money or in-kind donations for annual Design Team competition. More about this year's Design Day can be found here.
