Bringing translational engineering to the forefront

The Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design (CBID) was established to educate the next generation of leaders in medtech innovation and developing high impact care solutions that have the potential for high clinical and commercial success. Our program immerses students in the clinical, technical, and business realities of practical health care innovation. We offer both an 11-month MSE degree in Bioengineering Innovation and Design and a 1-year design team course for undergraduate students. While there are some differences between the MSE degree and undergraduate design team course, both programs offer students the opportunity to interact closely with clinicians, engineers, and experienced industry advisors to design, build and test devices that solve significant health care needs.
